And of course, please contact Professor Giulia Sissa, or her assistants for the conference, Libby BarringerMegan Gallagher and Althea Sircar, with any questions.

Welcome to Life!

Welcome to the homepage for Life! Motions, Motives, Emotions, a conference that will convene in Los Angeles between November 17 and 19, 2011.

Organized by the Network of Italian Scholars Abroad, the Istituto Italiano di Scienze Umane (SUM), the Fondazione SUM, the UCLA Center for Jewish Studies, and the UCLA Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, each day of the conference is oriented toward a different aspect of the ‘emotional turn,’ a paradigm shift affecting disciplines across the university.

For more information, please check back soon, or contact Professor Giulia Sissa, Libby Barringer, Megan Gallagher or Althea Sircar.
